China is moving towards the center of the world stage and facing challenges in the external dissemination of Chinese culture. Higher education needs to cultivate college students who can tell Chinese stories well, which requires them to have the correct political stance, foreign language proficiency, Chinese cultural literacy, higher-order thinking, and cross-cultural communication skills. College students should spread Chinese culture through personal stories, enhance their foreign language proficiency, strengthen their self-identity and national identity, and broaden their international perspective.
